Mark Flugge Annual Memorial Concert at Mees Recital Hall, Capital University Conservatory of Music, 1 College and Main, Columbus, OH
This year's concert to celebrate Mark Flugge's musical and educational legacy will feature Vaughn Wiester's Famous Jazz Orchestra performing some newly-commissioned big band arrangements of Marks' compositions; I am delighted to join the FJO in performing a few of the new commissions. Other soloists and groups will perform works in honor of Mark's memory. The new two-CD set of Mark's compositions and performances will be released at this concert. The first recipient of the Mark Flugge Jazz Award at Capital University will be announced; the winner will perform, as scheduling allows. Please join us at this memorable and meaningful concert!
