Inspirare Duo at Huntington Recital Hall, Capital University, 1 College and Main Street, Columbus, OH
Clarinetist Gail Lehto Zugger and I are delighted to present our annual fall Inspirare Duo Recital. The program will include "Taxonomy" by Rusty Banks, inspired by different varieties of snakes; the appealing Sonatine en Trio, by Florent Schmitt, with pianist Barbara Sahr; and two pieces with saxophonist Michael Cox: Catherine McMichael's Eclectic Trio, and Charles Ruggiero's "Echoes of 'Piano Red'". The last title refers to a lesser-known nickname of Duke Ellington, is jazz-inspired, and will be dedicated this evening in memory of Mark Flugge.
