Festival of Les Six Recital at Capital University's Huntington Recital Hall, Huntington Recital Hall, 1 College and Main, Columbus, OH
The final concert in our Festival of Les Six series will feature brass, jazz, and duo piano; Assistant Dean Lynn Roseberry will introduce the program. David Fletcher will open the recital with Milaud's Concertino D'Hiver for Trombone with pianist Quentin Jones. Georges Auric's popular "Song from Moulin Rouge" will feature saxophonist Michael Cox and Mark Flugge on piano. Tony Zilincik will perform an arrangement of Satie's Three Gnossiennes for tuba, with pianist Tianshu Wang. Capital's Brass Faculty will perform Poulenc's Sonata for Horn, Trumpet, and Trombone (Kimberly McCann, Rob Parton, and Tom Zugger, respectively). The concert will close with Tianshu Wang and Mark Lochstampfor performing Milaud's Scaramouche for piano duo.
