Please join us in the second of three concerts celebrating the early 20th century French composers known as Les Six, as well as the arts, literature, and philosophy of the times. This program is introduced by Reginald Dyck, "The First Birth of the Cool”.   Tonight's varied concert begins with a Trio by Auric (Gail Lehto Zugger, clarinet; Steven Secan, oboe; Christopher Weait, bassoon), three Arias by Honneger (Sharon Bennett, soprano; Barbara Sahr, piano), a Sonata for Solo Clarinet by Tailleferre (Gail Lehto Zugger), and an arrangement of Satie's Gymnopedie No. 1 by the saxophone quartet Brass with Pads.  The program concludes with Barry Kopetz conducting Stravinsky's Octet (me, flute; Gail Lehto Zugger, clarinet; Christopher Weait and Tami Hurlburt, bassoon; Rob Parton and Kyle Granville, trumpet; Tom Zugger and David Fletcher, trombone).
