Festival of Les Six: First Recital

Festival of Les Six Recital at Capital University's Huntington Recital Hall, Huntington Recital Hall, 1 College and Main, Columbus, OH

Please join us in the first of three concerts celebrating the early 20th century French composers known as Les Six, as well as the arts, literature, and philosophy of the times.  The program opens with an introduction by Emily Erken ("The Brief 'Marriage' of Les Six"),  followed by Milhaud's Sonata with me on flute, Gail Lehto Zugger, clarinet; Steven Secan, oboe, and Barbara Sahr, piano.  Next Soprano Lynn Roseberry and pianist Barbara Sahr will interpret Ravel's Three Poems of Mallarme.  The concert concludes with the Poulenc Sextet, which features pianist Tianshu Wang and the QuintEssential Winds (me on flute, Steven Secan on oboe, Gail Lehto Zugger on clarinet, Christopher Weait on bassoon, and Kimberly McCann on horn).
